1. Warranty Coverage

JAparrels (UEN: 53521321B) provides a 6-month limited warranty on all blinds purchased from us. This warranty covers manufacturing defects that affect the functionality or structural integrity of the product.

The warranty period begins from the date of delivery as recorded in your order confirmation.

2. What Is Covered

This warranty covers the following manufacturing defects:

  • Seam Splits: Fabric separation at seams or joints that occur without external force or misuse.
  • Mechanism Failure: Malfunction of tilt mechanisms, cord locks, roller springs, or zebra blind alternating systems under normal use.
  • Material Delamination: Separation of fabric layers, backing, or coating that occurs without external damage.
  • Hardware Breakage: Brackets, end caps, or bottom rails that snap or fail under normal installation and use.
  • Significant Discolouration: Uneven or patchy fading of fabric not caused by direct chemical exposure or improper cleaning.

3. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal Wear and Tear: Gradual fading from sunlight exposure, minor surface scratches, or loosening of components over time.
  • Improper Installation: Damage caused by incorrect installation not performed by our recommended guidelines.
  • Misuse or Abuse: Damage from excessive force, pulling, yanking, or using the blinds in ways they were not designed for.
  • Accidental Damage: Damage caused by accidents, spills, pets, children, or third-party actions.
  • Modifications: Any alteration, repair, or modification made by the customer or a third party.
  • Cleaning Damage: Damage from using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or improper washing methods.
  • Measurement Errors: Blinds that do not fit due to incorrect measurements provided by the customer.
  • Environmental Factors: Damage from extreme humidity, water exposure, mould, or pests.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, follow these steps:

  1. Email us at japarrels@mycorpdesk.com with the subject line “Warranty Claim – [Your Order Number]”.
  2. Include clear photos showing the defect from multiple angles.
  3. Include a brief description of the issue and when it was first noticed.
  4. Include your order number and contact details.

We will acknowledge your claim within 2 working days and provide an assessment within 5 working days.

5. Resolution

If your claim is approved:

  • We will replace the defective item at no cost to you.
  • Replacement production time is approximately 3-4 weeks, as each item is made to order.
  • Delivery of the replacement is free within Singapore.
  • If an exact replacement is not available, we will offer a comparable alternative.

If a replacement cannot be provided after reasonable effort, we may offer a full refund for the defective item. Refunds are processed within 7 working days via PayNow.

6. Limitations

This warranty is non-transferable. It applies only to the original purchaser and the original delivery address. The warranty is valid for purchases made directly through JAparrels only.

Replacement items are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 3 months from the replacement delivery date, whichever is longer.

7. Your Rights

This warranty is in addition to your rights under Singapore law, including the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act. Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any statutory rights you may have.
